One wrote, "As long as the Browns don’t sub in Shedeur Sanders, the Titans will get the win today!"

Another said, "This could be where we see Shedeur Sanders right…. Stay tuned."

One chipped in, writing, "plz for the love of god can we replace Deshaun Watson."

Another wrote, "So much for starting fast. #Browns trail #Titans 14-0 on 2 Pollard TDs. Last one was 10 yarder with 8:35 left in the 1Q to convert Watson's pick. Disastrous start. Pollard with a season-high in rushing yards with 77 on 8 carries."

The Cleveland Browns entered today's game with a 4-2 record. They beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Baltimore Ravens. They lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets.

The Titans entered the contest with a 1-5 record. They won their first game of the season last week against the Indianapolis Colts. They started the campaign with losses against the Jets, Eagles, Giants, and Ravens.

Tony Pollard is leading the Titans. The former Pro Bowler running back has eight carries, 77 yards and two touchdowns. The Browns' rush defense hasn't been able to contain him in today's showdown.

Deshaun Watson in the final year of his Browns contract

Calls to bench Deshaun Watson aren't new in Cleveland. A decent amount of the fan base wants Shedeur Sanders to start, while some wouldn't mind Dillon Gabriel or Taylen Green getting a run at center.

Watson is in the final season of his 5-year, $230 million contract. The three-time Pro Bowler is owed $46 million in cash for 2026 and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in March 2027.

Watson will potentially need to post All-Pro caliber numbers to get a renewal from the Browns. Both parties are more likely to part ways at the end of the season.

The Browns could then promote Shedeur Sanders to QB1, select another quarterback in the 2027 NFL Draft, or sign a signal-caller via the free-agent market. It will be an important offseason for the franchise.
