The Golden State Warriors are reportedly active in the trade market as center Kristaps Porzingis mulls his basketball future while dealing with recurring symptoms of an autoimmune condition.

On Wednesday, ESPN's Shams Charania reported that the Warriors have been "exploring" trade options for Porzingis, who is dealing with POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome).

"He first revealed his POTS diagnosis last year and has had ups and downs with the issue. If there is no breakthrough in recovery, stepping away from basketball – for good – is possible," Charania tweeted.

Porzingis averaged 16.7 points and 5.2 rebounds on 44.6% shooting in 32 games split between the Warriors and the Atlanta Hawks last season. This offseason, the Latvian star signed a two-year, $40 million contract extension. He makes $20 million this season, but only $3 million is guaranteed for 2027-28.

Here are three players Golden State could target in a potential Porzingis trade.

Three players to keep an eye on as potential Warriors' trade targets

#1 Myles Turner

Milwaukee Bucks center Myles Turner emerged as one of the Golden State Warriors' potential trade targets following the latest report on Kristaps Porzingis.

Turner, who earns $26.6 million, is in his 12th NBA season and fits the archetype that the Warriors would want in a center. Last season, he averaged 11.9 ppg and 5.3 rpg as Milwaukee's starting center.

On Wednesday, Bucks reporter Ti Windisch said that the Warriors could offer their draft picks in a trade package for Turner. These future picks are attractive for Milwaukee, which enters a rebuilding phase in its post-Giannis Antetokounmpo era.

#2 Trey Murphy III

The Warriors have been linked to Trey Murphy III before, and could express their interest in the New Orleans Pelicans forward this season. He could serve as Golden State's second scoring option behind Steph Curry while the team awaits Jimmy Butler's return. Murphy averaged 21.5 ppg on 47.0% shooting last season.

Additionally, salary-matching won't be much of a problem, as Murphy makes $27 million this season. He's under contract through the 2028-29 season.

#3 Daniel Gafford

Golden State could target Dallas Mavericks center Daniel Gafford, who makes $17.2 million this season. According to Spotrac, the Warriors are hard-capped at just $347,568 in second-apron space, making Gafford's team-friendly contract advantageous to the squad.

Gafford started 44 of his 55 games for Dallas last season and averaged 9.5 ppg and 6.9 rpg. He is a lob threat and a reliable rim defender. He could start at center for the Warriors or provide depth off the bench in small-ball lineups.
