New Zealand all-rounder Glenn Phillips finished the five-match T20I series against India with 341 runs, the highest aggregate any batter has managed in a men's bilateral T20I series. India still won the series 3-2, having taken the first three matches.

Below is the list of 5 batters with the most runs in a single bilateral T20I series.

Glenn Phillips (341 vs India, 2026)

Glenn Phillips made 82 not out, 70 and 17 in the first three games, all of which New Zealand lost, before breaking the series open in Auckland on October 30. His 107 off 49 balls carried New Zealand to 259 for 7, their highest total in T20I cricket, and an 87-run win.

He and Michael Bracewell put on 115 off 40 balls for the fifth wicket, the fastest century partnership against India in the format. Two days later in Hamilton, he needed 56 to pass Salt and made 65 not out off 38 balls, with eight fours and three sixes, as New Zealand chased down 192 in 17.4 overs. Tim Seifert's 93 off 50 made short work of the run-chase before him.

Phillips series figures read 341 runs at 113.66, a strike rate of 185.32, with 29 fours and 20 sixes. The hundred in Auckland won him his 10th Player of the Match in T20Is, level with Martin Guptill's New Zealand record.

Phil Salt (331 vs West Indies, 2023)

Phil Salt's 331 also came in a series England lost. The West Indies won 3-2 in December 2023, but Salt took Player of the Series with scores of 40, 25, 109 not out, 119 and 38. He amassed 331 at 82.75, a strike rate of 185.95, two hundreds, 24 fours and 22 sixes.

The 119 off 57 balls at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba on December 19 came in England's 267 for 3, their highest total in men's T20Is, past the 241 for 3 they made in Napier in 2019. His tally of 10 sixes was the most by an England batter in a T20I, the score passed Alex Hales's 116 not out, and Salt became the first England man with two T20I hundreds.

Muhammad Rizwan (316 vs England, 2022)

Muhammad Rizwan got to the 300-run mark first, in six innings of a seven-match series against England in 2022: 316 runs at 63.20, a strike rate of 138.59, four fifties and a best of 88 not out, with 23 fours and 10 sixes. Named ICC Men's Player of the Month for September 2022, Rizwan recorded four scores of 60-plus in the first five games, helping Pakistan lead 3-2. England eventually won the series 4-3.

Sahil Chauhan (297 vs Cyprus, 2024)

Sahil Chauhan's entry needs context: six matches against Cyprus at Episkopi in June 2024, and 297 runs at 59.40 with a strike rate of 256.03. His 144 not out in the second T20I came off 41 balls with 18 sixes, including the quickest T20I century till date off just 27 deliveries. With 15 fours as well, 252 of his 297 runs came in boundaries. Estonia won the series 4-2.

Mark Chapman (290 vs Pakistan, 2023)

Mark Chapman's 290 against Pakistan in 2023 was the New Zealand record Glenn Phillips took down. Chapman made it in five matches, including a maiden T20I century in the fifth T20I, and it stood until Phillips went past him in Hamilton. The five-match series was shared 2-2, with the fourth match abandoned due to a hailstorm.
