Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf has been fined part of his match fee by the ICC

Haris Rauf breached Article 2.2 of the ICC code of conduct for players, aggressively arguing with England’s Will Jacks and the umpire.

Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf has been fined 20 per cent of his match fee and given an official reprimand for breaching the ICC code of conduct on Wednesday. The reprimand comes following Pakistan’s win over England in the ODI tri-series tournament, taking the side into the final against Sri Lanka.

ICC said in a statement that Rauf breached Article 2.2 of its code of conduct for players; this happened when he was at the non-striker's end in the 46th over of the match. He appealed for a wide and then argued with English all-rounder Will Jacks.

Rauf continued his actions by raising his bat and carried on the aggressive conversation with Jacks despite the umpire warning him to stop. He later also brushed past the official while walking towards Jacks.

The Pakistan pacer has got one demerit point added to his record, which has now reached a total of five. It is also his third offence in the last two years.

England, on the other hand, has had a disappointing series with three losses in three matches. With one game left, against Sri Lanka on Thursday, England hopes for a consolation victory.
