New Zealand beat India by seven wickets at Seddon Park, Hamilton, on Sunday in the fifth and final T20I of the series. The Men in Blue won the series 3-2, courtesy of their victories in the first three games. The hosts bounced back and salvaged some pride with consecutive consolation wins.

India lost openers Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma early after being invited to bat first in the fifth fixture. Ishan Kishan (61 off 32) and Shreyas Iyer (50 off 23) rescued their side with crucial half-centuries.

Naman Dhir also chipped in with a 33-run knock off 23 balls as India posted 191/8 in 20 overs. Adam Milne shone with the ball for New Zealand, registering figures of 4/19 from four overs.

Tim Seifert was the standout performer for the home team in the chase. The opener missed out on a well-deserved century, scoring 93 off 50 balls. Glenn Phillips extended his purple patch with an unbeaten 65 off 38 balls as New Zealand chased the target in 18 overs.

Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Nitish Reddy picked up one wicket each. Milne was named the Player of the Match for his stunning spell, while Phillips was declared the Player of the Series.

Here, we look at three moments from the final T20I that generated a buzz among the fans.

#3 Tim Seifert gets the better of Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the powerplay

Bhuvneshwar Kumar's return to India's T20I team was underwhelming leading up to the fifth T20I. He was even left out of the playing XI for the fourth fixture.

The veteran pacer failed to make a significant impact in the last encounter, conceding 41 runs from four overs without taking a single wicket.

He started well with the new ball, giving away just 11 runs from the first two overs. However, Tim Seifert got the better of him in the final over of the powerplay.

The opener smashed two sixes and as many fours, making it a 20-run over. The onslaught took New Zealand to 59/1 in six overs.

#2 Blair Tickner puts down Team India captain Shreyas Iyer in eventful over

Shreyas Iyer launched a counterattack against Michael Bracewell in the 10th over. The Indian skipper started the over with an impressive six over long-on. He followed it with a four and yet another six, putting the New Zealand bowler under pressure.

Bracewell almost exacted revenge on the fourth ball as Iyer got the top edge while attempting the sweep. However, Blair Tickner failed to hold onto the catch at short fine leg.

Ishan Kishan added insult to Bracewell's injury with a one-handed six and a four to end the 27-run over.

#1 Abhishek Sharma pulls off a brilliant diving catch to dismiss Daryl Mitchell

Daryl Mitchell scored 29 off 16 balls before falling to Varun Chakaravarthy in the ninth over. The right-handed batter went for a lofted shot off a full delivery but failed to get the desired connection.

It appeared that the ball was dying on Abhishek Sharma at long-off. However, he put in the dive and completed a stunning catch to send the batter back. Watch the video here:
