India are all set to take on New Zealand in the second ODI of the five-match series. The encounter will be contested in Wellington on Saturday, November 7.

The Men in Blue are currently 1‑0 up in the series thanks to their win at Eden Park. With the third red-ball game between India A and New Zealand A set to commence on the same day, Nitish Kumar Reddy has reportedly left the squad. But that shouldn't affect India's plans.

India’s squad for the New Zealand ODIs: Shubman Gill (c), Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wk), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Anshul Kamboj, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, Gurnoor Brar, Naman Dhir, Auqib Nabi, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan.

On that note, here is India's predicted playing XI for the second ODI against New Zealand.

Openers: Shubman Gill (c) and Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma bagged a duck in the last game and will be keen on being among the runs again. He will open the batting alongside captain Shubman Gill, with no changes expected in this department.

Middle Order: Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wk), Axar Patel, Naman Dhir

The middle order will also wear a similar look. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan will have to wait for their turn, with Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul forming the backbone of the lineup.

Axar Patel and Naman Dhir, as spin-bowling all-rounders, will be utilized down the order. Axar may earn a promotion if the team wants a left-hander in the middle overs.

Lower Order: Anshul Kamboj, Auqib Nabi, Arshdeep Singh, Gurnoor Brar

Auqib Nabi didn't impress in the series opener, but he's expected to retain his place in the side since it's a long series. Mohammed Siraj may thus have to wait for his turn.

Arshdeep Singh, Anshul Kamboj, Gurnoor Brar and Nabi are thus expected to make up a four-man pace attack. Kuldeep Yadav may find himself on the bench once again.
