Tom Brady makes his feelings known about Aaron Rodgers as Steelers QB's comment about team's struggling offense
Former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady sees a different Aaron Rodgers this season.
Former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady sees a different Aaron Rodgers this season. The legendary quarterback's remarks came two days after Rodgers criticized his own offense following a 27-6 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Speaking on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” on Tuesday, the seven-time Super Bowl champion said the 42-year-old Steelers quarterback has transitioned into being "a pocket passer.”
“Aaron’s always been a very aggressive passer," Brady said. "If something was open down the field, he cut it loose. I’ve been really impressed with Aaron this year because he was a very mobile quarterback for a long time, he could move into the pocket and buy a bunch of time. He doesn’t quite have that same elusiveness, and he’s really transitioned to become more of a pocket passer.
“He’s always been an incredible passer of the football but now that he’s playing from the pocket, he’s totally in control. I think he’s got like six interceptions this year. Five of them have been off the hands of his receivers or a Hail Mary. So, he’s making incredible decisions. He always has made great decisions and you know, that’s why that team’s first place in their division.”

Although Rodgers helped the Steelers to a 27-6 win against the Browns on Sunday, the veteran quarterback was not pleased with their offensive showing against their division rivals.
“Not very complete,” Rodgers said. “Defense played excellent. Special teams did fine. But offense should have had a lot more points.”
Rodgers has 12 carries for 23 yards in eight games, after rushing for 61 yards in 16 games with Pittsburgh in 2025 and 107 with the New York Jets in 2024.
Ben Roethlisberger has noticed a drop-off from Aaron Rodgers
Former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger reached a similar conclusion about Aaron Rodgers this week on “Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger,” starting with what has not slipped.
“Two things I think he will never lose are his mind and his arm," Roethlisberger said. "Something else I have been pleasantly surprised by is not the right word, but his mobility. He has moved around when he has had to.
"We have talked about it on the show many times: early on, Aaron was much more of an elite runner with escapability than people gave him credit for. He was very mobile, very fast, and a very good athlete. Now, you are seeing a little bit of that mobility when he has to.”
Rodgers has helped the Steelers to a 6-2 start in potentially the final NFL season of his illustrious career.
