Maria Timofeeva recently triggered a social media frenzy as she posted a social media carousel of photos from her picturesque tropical vacation. Timofeeva was seen donning a blue bikini with a tropical flower in her hair. She accented her look with a chic pair of retro sunglasses, matching nail polish, and a smartwatch.
Maria Timofeeva also shared romantic moments with her boyfriend, Nils Mahlstedt, who flaunted his abs in many of the snaps. The couple was seen enjoying elephant rides, taking in dreamy sunsets, devouring delectable tropical desserts, attending rave parties on the beach, and more.
"One of the best and most spontaneous trips that somehow never made it to the gram🥥🏝️🐚🤍, soon to be repeated 🥳," Maria Timofeeva captioned her IG post.
The couple first made headlines when they attended a fellow tennis player, Ekaterina Kazionova's, wedding in Spain. She wore a light-yellow one-shoulder gown while Nils kept it classy in a white shirt and grey trousers.
"Celebrating the love of two beautiful people in a breathtaking place🥹💍❤️ I can’t put into words how happy I’m for both of you, and seeing how your love journey took you to this new chapter of your lives is something truly incredible❤️," Timofeeva wrote.
Maria Timofeeva gives update on her lost watch at the China Open, apologises for the "mess"
Timofeeva took to social media to say that her watch had been stolen at the China Open after she left her tennis bag outside her locker room while she took a shower. After losing the second-round match to the former world No. 1, Naomi Osaka, 6-3 3-6 6-3, she revealed that she went to take a shower for 10 minutes and, upon returning, couldn't locate her watch anymore.
"Another lesson to not leave your tennis bag outside of a locker room, even for 10 mins while you take a shower," she wrote on her IG story.
A day later, she provided an update that her watch had been found, and she apologised for all the "mess and misunderstanding" it had created. She also thanked the tournament organizers for being incredibly supportive and helping her find the lost item.
The 22-year-old is currently participating in the Guangzhou International Women's Open. She will face Teodora Kostovic in the round of 32 tomorrow.
