Indian opener Abhishek Sharma has regained the number one position in the ICC T20I Rankings for batters after a fantastic hundred against New Zealand on October 27. The left-handed batter attained 897 rating points on the leaderboard after a 38-ball 113 against the Blackcaps, thereby overtaking his teammate Ishan Kishan in the ICC T20I Rankings.

Abhishek Sharma became the world number one T20I batter in July 2025 and held the position for a year before Ishan Kishan took that position. Kishan has missed the last two T20Is against New Zealand due to injury, while Abhishek performed exceptionally well in his absence.

Kishan has dropped to the third position in the latest T20I Rankings, with Abhishek Sharma and Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan overtaking him. Elsewhere, Indian captain Shreyas Iyer has dropped from fourth to the ninth position in the batters' charts.

New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner has bowled some tidy spells in the ongoing T20I series against India, helping him rise from 14th to seventh position in the ICC T20I Rankings for Bowlers. Santner's rise has pushed Indian spinner Axar Patel out of the Top 10. Patel has dropped from the 10th to the 11th spot in the rankings.

Not just Abhishek Sharma but teammates Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav also gain big in latest ICC T20I Rankings

India's left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has entered the Top 15 of the ICC T20I Rankings for Bowlers after grabbing four wickets in the three T20Is against New Zealand so far. Singh has climbed up from the 21st to the 15th position.

His fast bowling partner Prince Yadav has jumped 19 spots to attain the 83rd position in the latest rankings. Yadav has bagged one wicket in the two matches which he has played against New Zealand on this tour.

Talking about the all-rounders' rankings now, New Zealand's Mitchell Santner has climbed up from the ninth to the eighth position. India's Hardik Pandya has dropped down four spots, slipping to the 13th position as he recovers from his injury.

With two more T20Is remaining in the series between India and New Zealand, it will be exciting to see which players make further progress in the ICC T20I Rankings.
