Jets DC Brian Duker gives crystal clear message about Ashton Jeanty taking shots at Minkah Fitzpatrick and DBs ahead of Raiders game

Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty has grabbed the attention of fans after his subtle jab at the New York Jets defensive line ahead of their Week 8 clash on Sunday.

Jeanty threw shade at the Jets' Minkah Fitzpatrick and their defensive backs for their lack of tackles against ball carriers.

"I think we can definitely get the run game going, get back on track and just really get after these guys," Jeanty said. "Couple of guys out there that don't really want to tackle, but I'm not going to say names."

Following Jeanty's comments, Jets defensive coordinator Brian Duker showed confidence in his players and backed them for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

"I've got plenty of confidence in our guys," Duker said. "I think it can be better. Obviously, overall there's certainly room for improvement. I'm always going to want more in that area as well."

Jets safety Minkah Fitzpatrick also reacted to Jeanty taking a shot at their defensive shortcomings this season.

"Of course, whenever our name is brought up, it catches our eye, but the way I operate, I go out there and play 110 percent effort, no matter who I'm playing against, no matter what they say," Fitzpatrick said. "Obviously, certain things can add a little more fuel to the fire, but at the end of the day, I gotta go out there and do my job."

Jets LB clapped back at Ashton Jeanty for his comments

The Jets have allowed 128.1 rushing yards per game, which ranks 24th in the league. Despite their defensive struggles, Jets linebacker Demario Davis clapped back at Ashton Jeanty's comments.

"It's called bulletin board material," Davis said. "Nothing other than that. I'm big on, the game is played inside the white lines."

The Jets, who are 2-5 for the season, are up against a Raiders team that has lost their last four games.
