"Ab se Justice for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi"- Top 10 funny memes after India's dismal loss vs New Zealand in 4th T20I 2026

Team India suffered a disappointing 87-run loss against New Zealand in the fourth T20I at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday, October 30. As a result, the hosts got off the mark in the five-match series after losing the first three T20Is.

India captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bowl first in the contest. It proved to be the wrong choice, as the Kiwi batting unit, led by Glenn Phillips, smashed the Indian bowlers all over the park en route to 259/7. Phillips (107) continued his great form with a century, while Michael Bracewell (65) chipped in with a blistering half-century.

Pacer Jacob Duffy then gave Kiwis a sensational start by dismissing Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan in the first over. The Men in Blue could not recover from those blows. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and went on to suffer a dismal defeat as they could only reach 172/9 in 20 overs.

"There was something in it for the bowlers"- Mitchell Santner after New Zealand's win vs India in the 4th T20I

Speaking at the post-match presentation, New Zealand skipper Mitchell Santner reflected on the victory, saying:

"Another toss loss, but with the wind tonight it did not dew up. 260 is a good score, but still got to bowl well against these guys, and we did that. We saw a couple fly initially, the guys bashed away in the powerplay, and there was something in it for the bowlers as well, which is what we have wanted in all games. The way he (Bracewell) came in from ball one to push it up to 260 is really good to see because he has been striking it well in the nets."

He continued:

"Pretty happy. It is a tough ground, and we made them take some tough options down the track. A couple went up; a couple dropped catches as well. Guys coming in and being on the money straightaway with one-over spells, the way Duff (Duffy) bowled those hard lengths straightaway, getting two wickets to start, is great."

The two teams will square off in the fifth T20I on Sunday, November 1, at Seddon Park in Hamilton.
