Sportstar ·

The last player to take five wickets and score an FC hundred for Mumbai was Ravi Shastri, against Madhya Pradesh in the 1990-91 season.

Musheer Khan joined an exclusive list on Wednesday, becoming the first Mumbai player this century to score a First-Class hundred and take five wickets in the same match.

He achieved the feat against Haryana in the 2026-27 Ranji Trophy. The last Mumbai player to accomplish the double was Ravi Shastri, against Madhya Pradesh in the 1990-91 season.

Musheer’s all-round performance has put Mumbai in the driver’s seat. He first made his mark with the bat, scoring 109 off 185 balls. His century, along with Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s 114 off 180 balls, helped Mumbai post 430.

Musheer then struck with the ball, claiming 5/52 to leave Haryana struggling at 191/5 at lunch.

Musheer is India international and CSK batter Sarfaraz Khan’s brother.
