Ravindra Jadeja shows off new braided hairstyle ahead of NZ vs IND 2026 Tests, picture goes viral

Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja unveiled a bold new look ahead of the upcoming two-match Test series against New Zealand. The 37-year-old underwent a big hair makeover, opting for an edgy straight-back cornrow braid look.

The veteran cricketer was left out of the ODI squad for the New Zealand tour but retained his spot in the red-ball team. He flaunted the new hairdo in his latest Instagram story along with a humorous caption. The pictures of his new braided look have gone viral.

Jadeja wrote in his Instagram story:

"Yeh wali photo dikhayi hogi taantrik ko (This photo would have been shown to the occultist) 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣."

Jadeja has often experimented with his looks. Some of his previous styles that became iconic were a handlebar moustache and the buzz cut. He famously got a special Chennai Super Kings (CSK) haircut in 2013, which had the team's initials on the side of his head.

Ravindra Jadeja shone with an impressive century for Saurashtra in Ranji Trophy 2026-27

Ravindra Jadeja returned to India's ODI team in September after being picked for the three-match home series against West Indies. However, he failed to make an impact, finishing with figures of 0/54 and 2/75 in his two appearances.

The southpaw did not bat in the series. Jadeja looked in fine touch during Saurashtra's Ranji Trophy 2026-27 opener against Chhattisgarh. He scored 102 off 209 balls, batting at No. 5 in the first innings.

The senior player also picked up three wickets in Chhattisgarh's only innings and was named the Player of the Match in the drawn contest. Saurashtra earned three points based on the first-innings lead.

Meanwhile, India's two-match Test series against New Zealand will kick off on November 19 at Basin Reserve in Wellington. The second Test is scheduled to be played at Hagley Oval in Christchurch, beginning November 27.
