Rob Gronkowski will be inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame on Saturday at Patriot Place Plaza. The former tight end was selected by the franchise in the second round of the 2010 NFL draft and spent nine seasons with the team. Apart from fans, Gronkowski’s longtime girlfriend Camille Kostek has been excited about his induction.

On Friday, the Sports Illustrated model shared a selfie with Gronk on her Instagram story. In the photo, the couple was seen sitting inside a car while smiling big for the camera. In the caption, Kostek wrote a hyped-up message for Patriots fans:

Gronkowski won his Patriots Hall of Fame seat by beating guard Logan Mankins and kicker Adam Vinatieri in fan voting. Patriots owner Robert Kraft broke the news to him through a voicemail on Tuesday night. Talking about his initial reaction to the prestigious milestone, the four-time Super Bowl winner said:

“Started tearing up a little bit. It’s just such a prestigious honor to be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame, especially as a first ballot. And to do it after so many others have led the way - Tom (Brady) two years ago, Julian (Edelman) last year, you got the Tedy Bruschi, the Willie McGinest, just so many guys that are just so great, and to be in the same category as them is just an absolute honor.”

Robert Kraft to miss Rob Gronkowski’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony

Even though it was Robert Kraft who broke the Hall of Fame induction news to Rob Gronkowski, the Patriots owner won’t be present at the ceremony. Kraft recently underwent serious back surgery and won’t be part of the event.

“As much pain as I was in before having surgery, it pains me even more to miss the ceremony,” Kraft told ESPN’s Mike Reiss on Thursday.

Kraft confirmed that doctors have strictly advised him to stay off his feet to recover well from the surgery and avoid complications. He will also be absent from the Patriots' Week 9 game against the Green Bay Packers.
