The India batter’s recovery opens the door to a return for the multi-format tour of South Africa in December after the injury ruled her out of the Women’s Asia Cup, Asian Games and Zimbabwe series.

India batter Jemimah Rodrigues has been declared fit after three months of rehabilitation following a high-grade tear in her right hamstring, sustained while playing for Southern Brave in The Hundred in England on August 3.

Jemimah shared the update on social media on Friday, expressing her eagerness to return to action after completing her recovery.

“Life Update: HAMSTRING HAS BEEN DECLARED FIT!!!!!!!! After 3 months of rehab. Now I can’t wait to get going,” she wrote.

The injury brought an abrupt end to Jemimah’s campaign in The Hundred, where she had scored 143 runs in six innings and put on two Player-of-the-Match performances.

Jemimah was injured while playing against Welsh Fire, with the setback subsequently confirmed by the BCCI as a high-grade tear. The injury forced her to miss the Women’s Asia Cup and the Asian Games before also ruling her out of India’s recent white-ball series against Zimbabwe.

With her recovery now complete, Jemimah could be in contention for India’s multi-format tour of South Africa in December.
