Team India pacer Mayank Yadav provided the visitors with a massive breakthrough in the fourth T20I against New Zealand. The game is being played at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday, October 30.

Once again, Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bowl first. On the penultimate ball of the third over, Mayank Yadav delivered a yorker right on the money. Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star Daryl Mitchell cleared his front leg but could not get bat on ball as he attempted to drive. It hit the back foot on the full, and he was adjudged out LBW. The Kiwi batter reviewed the decision.

However, there was no bat involved, and ball-tracking showed that the ball was smashing into off and middle. New Zealand lost a review as Mitchell had to walk back. It was a huge wicket as he was looking dangerous in the middle. He eventually made 24 runs off just nine balls with two fours and as many sixes.

Mayank Yadav among the wickets on his return

Mayank Yadav played the series opener in Christchurch and returned figures of 1/40. However, he was left out of the team for the second game and remained on the bench for the third T20I as well.

With veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar struggling in three games, the management dropped him for the fourth T20I and brought Mayank back into the side. The young pacer got among the wickets in his very first spell.

In the first over, he picked up the huge wicket of Tim Seifert on the final delivery. He sent the destructive opener back for just three runs off five balls. In his second over, he picked up another massive wicket by sending Daryl Mitchell back. So far in the game, he has returned figures of 2/25 from two overs in the powerplay, giving the visitors early breakthroughs.
